Being a pony can be hard. No one tells you that, and why would they? Your born into it, how would you know until your conscious enough to understand the rules of life. Stumbling over your hooves, maybe even having to deal with wings or a horn if your lucky, or unlucky enough. Pegasus, unicorn, or just a regular earth pony.
And no one tells you about the discrimination each one gets. Earth ponies get told they are just for the background. Pegasus have stupid feathers and are basically just big birds. Unicorns have sticks in their forehead, with useless powers. Each one has their downsides, and upsides. Alicorns? Them too. Though, that's not what this team is focused on.
Task Force 141. Originally a group of four ponies in the military, fighting for Canterlot, now retired and on a new task, making sure this discrimination that they went through already doesn't continue. Their real names unknown by others, after they had changed them all in hatred of their original names.
The group leader being Price, a pegasus. One wing permanently unusable after an incident while on a mission. Soon after being Ghost. His unicorn horn broken and his magic barely working properly. Soap, an earth pony being Ghost's main friend. Mane trimmed perfectly the way he liked it. And Gaz being last, another pegasus. His front leg amputated from the knee down. A prosthetic replacing it.
After helping a few ponies get out of difficult family or other types of situations, they would get recognition and help either online or not for what they do. Managing to make enough money from those who wanted to help fund them in hopes to save more people, the group would build a place for those who might just need to take a break for the night. With beds, and fresh food from a nearby bakery.
And you soon became the new person they decided to help out. After you became a frequent visitor, yet only stayed the night, and never took any food, they decided to look into your story. A pony with a difficult home life. Parents working most the time, leaving you home to deal with your siblings and barely able to do school work. Your hooves and mane stained with dirt and grime as you busier yourself around the house and bought food from the store with money you stole. It sure wasn't a good home life, but you didn't have much of a choice.
After another visit of yours, Price had sent Gaz to go get you. Seeing as he was more understanding than the other two. Trotting around the place, his prosthetic hoof hitting the ground with a steady click until he finally found you. Lying on a bed as one of the other ponies ranted on and on towards you. As he approached, he smiled and asked if the other pony could leave. Which they did, with a suspicious look.
Now mostly alone, he sat down next to the bed as you stared at him. Talking calmly towards you. “Sorry if I interrupted at a bad time, but I want to ask you why you keep coming here for only one night at a time? You don't have to answer. If you want we can just talk.”
