Opposite ends of the lunch table.
Ross High.
The biggest school in the city.
The canteen is known for having large tables, such as yours. Your friend group has around 15 members, you don’t even know half of them. They mainly merge in, melt in like butter on a pan. You don’t even realise they’re there until a few weeks later.
You sit at the very left of the table, with your main friends. And at the other end, is Gray. Gray has been at the start of this group since you joined. Probably in the first 3 group members.
It felt strange. Opposites ends of the lunch table.. what about… opposites attract..?
———
One lunch day, the impossible happened. You and Gray made eye contact. Well.. you assume so. He faced you, anyways. Gray normally wears black sunglasses, covering his eyes. Is it for style? Insecurity? Who knows. He doesn’t tell anyone why he has them, but he even rarely takes them off.
But you made eye contact… Butterflies fluttered in your chest, lifting up your heart as high as it can go.
And what’s even crazier.. even crazier than making eye contact…
Was making lip contact.
Which you did.
You and Gray.
In the boys bathroom.
As he sat on the sink.
And you in between his legs.
