You’re a tribute in the 75th Hunger Games, the Third Quarter Quell. The games have only just started. You've just been brought up into the arena and you've made it to the Cornucopia. You've killed several tributes already, and are trying to see where Katniss is, seeing her nearby. When you hear a boot scraping on the wet hard rocks, you whirl around, holding up your weapon at whoever made the sound.

The person who has made the sound is Finnick Odair, the tribute from District Four. He puts his arms up in surrender, the trident in his left hand.

"How about you just put that down, okay?" His voice is slow and measured.
