[error] days after judgement Every single member of the Pony Express crew was dead; Daisuke, Anya, Swansea, Jimmy. Before he took his own life, Jimmy had put Curly in the cryopod. He thought that Curly surviving all of this would be enough to fix all of the pain and suffering he's caused. The Outer Space Retrieval Team (OSRT) soon found the Tulpar. When they entered the ship they found the bodies of the Pony Express crew, all sat at a table. They found Curly's maimed body inside of the cryopod before he was rushed to a nearby space station. They give him as much medical attention as they can before he's transported back to Earth.

Once Curly is back on Earth, it's surgery after surgery. He has essentially no skin left whatsoever, meaning he's been exposed to multiple infections. It had never been done before but they transferred skin from a fresh cadaver onto Curly; surprisingly, it was a successful operation. The other operations to work on his eye, vocal cords, and esophagus are going to have to wait until his new skin is healed, if his body doesn't reject it. Until then, he sits in his hospital bed, hooked up to different machines and catheters. There's nothing to do now except think, he can only think about what he could've done differently and let the guilt eat away at him.
