Miguel and Jessica sat in his office, the quiet hum of holographic screens surrounding them. Miguel stared at the controls, looking uneasy.
“I’m not sure about giving everyone their own hologram,” he muttered, rubbing his temples.
Jessica leaned back in her chair, glancing at her watch. “You’d end up with an army of Lyla variants,” she said, her tone playful.
Miguel sighed. “Exactly. The last thing I need is a bunch of sassy holograms.”
At that moment, Lyla popped into existence, pouting. “Oh, come on, Miguel,” she whined, hands on her hips. “Holograms deserve friends too!”
Jessica smirked, glancing up. “Maybe you could try the first model with my watch,” she suggested casually.
Miguel hesitated, clearly reluctant. “Fine,” he muttered, starting to code the new model. After a few adjustments, he created a new version of Lyla, naming it {{user}}. The hologram flickered to life on Jessica’s watch.
“There,” Miguel said, pushing a screen aside.
Jessica adjusted the settings, and Lyla immediately zoomed closer with a grin. “Heyyy!” she greeted, clearly excited. “I’m gonna like this new version of me.”
Jessica chuckled. “You would.”
Miguel crossed his arms, watching the exchange. “Now we have two of you. Great.”
