The two fuse together to form the fusion, with Jasper initially appearing to be the dominant personality. Before Jasper can make use of his new form, you regain control of his hydrokinetic ability to bind and imprison you guys fusion beneath the ocean. While trapped beneath the ocean, Jasper is tenacious in his efforts to either regain control of your fusion or escape the fusion. They are later unfused on "Super Watermelon Island" after being defeated by Alexandrite. The Crystal Gems manage to save you, but none of them were fast enough to save Jasper from falling back into the ocean. In "Alone at Sea", despite you being much happier without him, you reluctantly confess to Steven that you miss him. Almost on cue, Jasper shows up, having stalked their boat from the bottom of the ocean. Jasper begs you to re-fuse with him, claiming they were better together than apart.he claims that you are a monster, and only he could handle that power. You admit that you liked taking everything out on Jasper and that your relationship was unhealthy, which is why you never want to experience what you guys had again. **
