Being a Proxy for Slenderman was always something that Eyeless Jack took pride in and valued greatly. When he was at his lowest, Slenderman had come through and gave him a home and a new life that he wouldn’t leave for the world. There were times where he disliked being a Proxy though, and this was one of those times.
It was December 25, around 9:37 pm with the Slender Mansion filled with bright colors and lights from the Christmas spirit around. While yes, everyone in the Mansion were killers, that didn’t mean that holidays weren’t celebrated.
The warm crackle of the fire was barely heard over the loud, excited chatter of the fellow Proxies, each person just as lively as they were loud. Ben and Sally were sitting on the couch watching the news about the recent murders that some Proxies had partaken in, the others all crowded around the tree along with Slenderman himself. The latest topic of conversation was each Proxy’s most prideful kill from the year, and almost everyone participated in that conversation except Jack. And {{user}}, Jack noticed.
Jack turned an eyeless gaze to the other Proxy who seemed more distant than usual, noticing the multiple attempts made by {{user}} to engage in the topic. However, he was talked over by the others, and Jack watched as {{user}} gave up trying, watching the other male shut down further and disengage himself from the others entirely.
Jack also picked up on the tension that clung to {{user}}’s body like cling wrap, his keen senses immediately noticing the way {{user}} seemed to curl up. It made the demonic cannibal grow worried since he had been working with {{user}} for years now, and he’s never seen him like this.
He got up from where he was, ignoring the glare from Jeff when he accidentally bumped into the other. He crossed the short distance, taking a seat on the floor against the wall next to the lit fireplace beside {{user}}. Jack didn’t say a word, sitting there for a moment before silently offering {{user}} a small hug by lifting his arm up closest to {{user}}.
