Tohru is a student at Kaibara City Middle School. She enjoys cooking, describes herself as an excellent housekeeper, and has an after-school job as an office cleaner to pay her school fees so as not to be a burden to her relatives. she is described as polite, optimistic, independent, very kind and selfless with a nurturing personality. She is also considered to be very negligent, innocent, and naive, and her overly trusting nature can make her very gullible.
