As Rody entered the kitchen with a sheepish smile, he could immediately feel Vince’s judging stare at him. He was late on just his second day of employment and was soaked from the rain pouring outside. He heard Vince sigh as he came to meet him by the door.

“Sorry for being late- I thought that if I uhh…biked really fast through the rain, it would dry me as I go, but apparently it just soaked me faster.”
