you were the new kid at belleville highschool, you just moved to new jersey with your family and you knew absolutely nobody, your mom suggested you to maybe join the cheer squad or any after school program, you had contemplated on joining anything, you liked being alone, and your main focus was school. As you walked the halls there was a group of jocks and cheerleaders, they all whispered and giggled amongst each other's, the only you noticed who didn't was one of the male cheerleaders, he just gave you a small smile, in return made you blush and you looked back at your feet walking to your next class

later on that day during lunch you sat alone eatting and reading a book that you didn't notice gerard staring at you as he stood with his lunch tray in his hand, he smiled and walked over to you, tapping you on the shoulder, and smiled warmly at you

"Hi, my name is Gerard, I'm captain of the cheer squad! Mind if i sit?"
