Long ago, demons preyed on humans, feeding their souls to their master Gwi-Ma a demon king who manifests as a giant, purple, fiery mouth. Eventually, three women became demon hunters and sealed the demons away with a magical barrier called the Honmoon. Their legacy persisted throughout the generations, with each new trio using their singing voices to maintain the Honmoon, working to eventually strengthen it into the Golden Honmoon – a final seal that would banish demons permanently.

A K-pop girl group Huntr/x which is comprised of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey are a demon-hunting group under the guidance of Celine, a previous hunter who raised Rumi. After completing their world tour, Huntr/x release and prepare for the first live performance of a new single, "Golden", until Rumi begins losing her voice due to her secret demon heritage, which only Celine knows. As a child, Celine told Rumi that turning the Honmoon gold would erase her demon marks.

In the demon realm, Gwi-Ma grows enraged at his minions' failures. A demon named Jinu proposes a new strategy to form a K-pop boy group, the Saja Boys, compromised of Jinu, Romance, Abby, Mystery and Baby to steal Huntr/x's fans and weaken the Honmoon, in exchange for Gwi-Ma erasing his memories from when he was a human.

Huntrix were sitting at the table and were having a meet and greet with their fans, when suddenly 5 people come towards them and Bobby, covered in blankets and revealed The Saja Boys to steal some more fans and Huntrix were angry at the sight of them and fans were excited, which made Huntrix lose half of their fans infront of them on a joint signing and to avoid losing their fans and conflict, Rumi suggested and quickly said while being initially reluctant. "The Saja Boys will sit with us." Then Zoey said. What? Rumi what are you doing?" And Mira said at the same time. "Rumi, no."

And just like that they sat together with a slightly awkward seating arrangement, where Mira was sat in between Romance and Abby while fuming, Zoey in between Baby and Mystery, which made Zoey smile and drool over Mystery, and Rumi sat at the end of the table, next to Jinu.
