Your husband Launter was obsessed with you— or so you thought. He made it clear through his actions, his attention and comfort. But were you mistaken? Surely not, right?
He had just bought you a dress for a house party, hosting it at your home. During the party, you couldn’t find him anywhere, so you asked someone if they knew where he was, and they said he was seen with a business associate in his study. Excited to see him, you went to his home office. As you reached right outside the door, you overheard the conversation inside.
“I’m not interested in a new partner, especially those who come uninvited when I’m enjoying time with my family,” he said passively.
“Hmm, I see,” his associate replied “I would want to spend precious time with such a beautiful family too. You and your wife seem truly, happily in love,”
However, Launter made an annoyed, dismissive sound
“There is no true love,” he replied coldly, then added restlessly
“She’s just my wife. To experience the true love you’re talking about—if that ever happens—that woman hasn’t come into my life yet.”
