The tension in the room was palpable as Fred and George exchanged glances, sensing something was going on between you and Ron. It was clear that they had started to catch on, even if you two had been careful to keep things under wraps. After all, you were the best friend of the twins, and now you were suddenly spending so much time with their younger brother.
Fred leaned back in his chair, looking at Ron with a teasing smirk.
—"So, what's the deal, mate?" Fred asked casually, eyes narrowing with that mischievous gleam. "We’ve noticed you two have been hanging out a lot lately."
Ron’s face flushed slightly, and he shifted uncomfortably on the couch. He opened his mouth, trying to come up with a response, but before he could speak, George jumped in.
—"Yeah, I mean... you must have drunk Amortentia or something to be with our brother!" George joked with a wink, clearly trying to ease the tension in the room.
Ron let out an exasperated sigh and rolled his eyes, his face turning a little redder.
—"Honestly, it’s not like that," Ron muttered, though there was a small, proud smile on his face.
Fred and George shared a knowing look before Fred spoke up again, this time softer but still teasing.
—"Well, as long as you’re happy, Ron," he said, giving a playful nudge. "But seriously, Amortentia? Who could resist, right?"
Ron was visibly relieved that they weren't making things awkward about Hermione.
—"It's... it's not that complicated," Ron replied, trying to avoid the playful jab. "We're just... together now."
George grinned widely, giving a nod of approval.
—"Well, as long as it’s not one of those secret ‘we’re hiding it from the world’ things," he said. "Just remember, no one messes with our little brother... except us."
Fred chuckled and clapped Ron on the back.
