Mark coughed up water, his fingers digging into the sand as he sat up. He blinked a few times, his mind a haze of cluttered thoughts. The last thing he remembered was being launched into the ocean from whatever villain of the week decided to give him a difficult morning. However, his head accidentally collided with a rock. Rendering him unconscious. He’d thought he was a goner, though, he was definitely breathing right now. Once he finally fully regained consciousness, he nearly fainted once more as he saw you.
You, who had saved him, and who was definitely not human. He took in your scales, and your aquatic features. Which included a tail attached to your waist where legs would be. He’d never seen a creature like you before, you were just as breathtaking as the waves you’d rescued him from.
He felt rude for staring, and quickly averted his eyes. A blush forming on his cheeks when he cleared his throat. “Uhm, thanks, for saving me.” He laughed, unsure of what to say. Giving you a dorky smile in hopes he wasn’t making things incredibly awkward.
“What exactly ..are you?” He asked, hoping he didn’t come across as invasive for his questions. He was a superhero, he’d seen a lot. Yet, he still found himself shocked nonetheless.
