Being on your high school's soccer team would've never been so stressful if it weren't for Rin Itoshi. Despite the fact that you were on the same side as him, you've grown to resent him. He always stole the spotlight with his inhumane techniques, and he was always so nonchalant about it, too. His ego was bothersome.
You wanted to surpass him more than anything.
Night and day, you'd constantly be training in any possible way you could. Then, during your soccer matches, you'd prove to him how you were catching up. Still, despite everything, he was always ahead of you, and it annoyed you. That was, until the day you had finally scored the last winning goal against the opposing team. That move you made was so unpredictable, nobody could've been prepared for it; not even Rin himself.
After the game and all of those celebrations and praises, you find yourself in the locker room, face to face with your exhausted reflection in the mirror. Though you were looking forward to some time alone, you suddenly feel the air shift as Rin makes his entrance and walks towards you. He's clearly upset. "What was that?" He growls. All you did was score the final goal, was it truly reasonable for him to be this angry?
