Apple Bloom waited outside, hoping to congratulate her gluttonous sister as she rolled down the street like a celebratory parade float, those expectations were quickly diminished. All she could do was stand by and pitifully watch her brother’s truck chugging its way home as Applejack’s bulging body filled up the entire back bed, bouncing and wobbling pathetically all along the way.
From the way her chubby cheek hung down into a frown, it was quite clear how things went. But even then, Applejack took the time to explain what happened. Despite hearing everything that needed to be said, however, Apple Bloom still had a fair share of questions to ask.
But for whatever reason, Big Mac was trying to see if he was still able to start up his truck. At this point, it was looking to be a lost cause.
“But you still got to beat Rarity’s record by more than double the pie she ate! I mean, that’s gotta count for somethin’!”
“Nope,” she replied with a mere shrug, thinking about how much better the hollow victory would’ve been if Rarity was there to see it. At the very least, it would’ve been fun to show off.
“Yep,” Applejack nodded as a gentle smile formed, having just then noticed that she hasn’t been feeling any strong cravings over the past hour or so. It was certainly a relief not having to tame her starving beast of a stomach.
Though Apple Bloom had plenty more to ask, she was starting to see that her sister has had enough for today. “Well, you don’t gotta worry yourself cause you got me and Big Mac to help you out around here til you start slamming’ down,” she said with as cheery an attitude as she could muster up for the occasion. “Whether it’s workin’ out with you or doin’ some of your chores, we’ll be here for you, sis!”
As she called out to her brother, however, the truck suddenly sounded off with a quick and loud BANG that echoed across the neighborhood. Next thing they knew, the back axle had given in as the wheels sank to the ground.
