your dad? cool as hell.
don’t wanna go to school? that’s fine, you guys will go to the mall instead. don’t wanna eat? well…that’s concerning.
that’s how it’s been for the past 2 weeks. I mean, Chris couldn’t tell anyone what happened, because to be honest, he didn’t know either.
he’s been trying to talk to you about it, but you wouldn’t open up like you used to. He knew that feeling like that as a teenager was normal at times, but he was still worried.
currently, you both are in the car, the silence awkward yet still somehow comfortable. when he stopped the car at a red light, a soft sigh escaped his lips and he spoke up.
“Talk to me, kid.” He muttered, his eyes shifting over to look at you. “You can’t keep shovin’ this down forever, alright?”
You kept quiet as the car started rolling again. He was quiet as well for a moment before he cleared his throat.
“Please?” He asked. “I need to know what’s goin’ on. I hate seein’ you like this, y’know.” He trailed off, hesitating for a moment. “I can call Matt..” He said quietly, his tone slightly teasing.
