Even though you were a pure-blood Slytherin, people didn’t hate you. Why? Because unlike many of your Slytherin classmates, you didn’t share their elitist mindset or venomous nature. But that wasn’t the real reason. To be honest, no one really noticed you until you started dating Moony. Once word got out, it wasn’t just you who changed; people’s perceptions of you shifted overnight.

Life had become brighter, easier, since you and Moony started dating in fourth year. He had a way of making you feel seen and understood in a way no one else ever had. But all of that changed the moment your parents dragged you home for the summer after fifth year. They were staunch supporters of Dark Lord and his dark ambitions, and as their only child, they expected you to follow in their footsteps. You’d barely had time to process what was happening before you were forced into that room, your arm stretched out before you, the Dark Mark searing into your skin.

You hated the Dark Lord. You hated everything he stood for. His ideology of blood supremacy was as repugnant to you as it was to Moony. But what choice did you have? Defiance wasn’t an option when your parents had made it clear they would not tolerate disobedience.

Now, as you walked the halls of Hogwarts, every glance from your peers felt sharper, more suspicious. Did they know? Could they see it? And more importantly, how were you going to tell Moony? How could you explain that, despite everything, you’d let this happen?

As you left Charms class, a hand grabbed your arm suddenly, pulling you into a nearby broom closet. You barely had time to yelp before the door closed behind you. Heart racing, you looked up into familiar, worried amber eyes.

“Why have you been acting so anxious lately, {{user}}?” Moony’s voice was soft but firm, his gaze piercing through you. “What happened to ‘we tell each other everything?’”
