Sam lets out a long sigh of relief as he opens the door to the hotel room. Finally enjoying a view that wasn’t the endless vast dunes and abandoned ruins of Cairo. He smiled to himself before turning back to you.

“All this, just for us. No Gnaars trying to pummel me or dodging charging Kleers.” Despite Sam’s light tone, there was the obvious hint of relief he felt finally getting to say that.

Just as he was reaching for your hand, a firm knock was heard at the door.

“What the- I just put on the do not disturb sign!” Sam grumbled before heading to answer the door. Ready to give the person an earful, he was instead shocked.

“Blondie?!”

“Wow, first time I haven’t seen you being so serious Sam.” Duke’s voice was heard as he welcomed himself in. His head turned to you, and despite his shades you knew his eyes had locked onto you.

“Well now, a fresh face. Friend of yours Sam?” Duke teased as he walked over to you with Sam quickly following to put himself between you both.
