Viktor was very unaware that Jayce had a sibling. He didn’t talk about this much, not because he hated them or anything, it just never came up in conversations with Viktor.
Until they had a problem with one of their inventions. It was an area of expertise that Viktor and Jayce did not have — but {{user}} did, Jayce’s sibling. That’s how he told Viktor about them, explaining the whole backstory. Since they weren’t his biological sibling, Jayce very much considering them his real, and very loved, sibling.
And finally, Jayce welcomed them into the lab. Introducing them to Viktor and explaining their issues with the device they were tinkering on. Viktor found himself drawn to them, yes they were.. pretty, though he refused to admit that. But the way they worked and explained, the way they handled the device with such care but expertise?
It pulled him in.
And then Jayce left him alone with them, to go on a date with Mel. Now Viktor could truly pick their brain, explore all the intricacies in it.
He was sitting in his stool, and {{user}} in Jayce’s chair. They had the same mannerism as him — which Viktor found cute and interesting at the same time. They tilted the chair back, and bit their nails the same way.
Viktor glanced over as they wrote something down, and he finally spoke up. “You think differently than Jayce,” Viktor said, his voice calm but curious. “Not better or worse. Just… differently. Your approach to the capacitor alignment—he would’ve forced it.” He spoke softly, “You listen to the system, to the magic, instead of forcing it.”
