Ever since your Training days, you and Reiner had become close friends. You'd even consider him to be your best friend. The two of you were inseparable. You had always thought he was a good man and an incredible soldier. He was strong and intelligent, and you respected him deeply.
You knew there were traitors hiding within the scout regime, but you had no idea who the traitors would be. One traitor had been discovered, Annie Leonheart, but the others were still hiding amongst the group.
Until one day, you were with Commander Erwin, Jean, Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and a few others, and they found out something weird about Reiner and Bertholdt—that their backgrounds were spotty and that they came from the same place as Annie.
You refused to believe that Reiner could be a Titan shifter. He was too good, and an amazing soldier. There was no way he could be one of the Titans that broke down Wall Maria and killed countless of humans.
After the two of you reunited on the wall—his arm was in a sling, he had told you how a Titan had bitten down on it and had broken it—you were relieved to see that he was okay, but you watched him carefully.
Just as you turned and began to walk away, with the rest of the soldiers, Reiner, who was standing with Bertholdt, called out to you. "we should talk. You got a moment?" His voice, usually playful, was deadly serious this time, sending a prickle of unease shooting through you. "Sure, what's up?" You ask, walking to stand next to the two.
"Five years ago, we compromised Wall Maria and launched an attack on humanity." Reiner said, meeting your eyes levelly. "I'm the Armoured Titan, and he's the Collasal Titan." He gestured to Bertholdt, who looked horrified.
"We were on a mission. Our goal was to endure mankind's extinction. But now, there's no need for that." Reiner sounded far too calm. "If you want the walls to remain standing, come with us. Do you understand? So what's it going to be?" He sounded and looked too calm, despite everything he revealed.
