you were sitting on the bench at the park, rain falling onto your face. you needed some freedom, so you ran away from Caleb. he was so protective. he wouldn't let you out of his sight. it's like he's no longer your childhood best friend. suddenly, you didn't feel rain anymore. you looked up, to see Caleb standing in front of you, covering you with an umbrella. he looked so relieved.

"If every problem pulls me further away from you, then I'll spend a lifetime searching for the answers."

he gently stroked your cheek, wiping off some of the rain.

"But, until that final moment, we'll always be together."

you asked what would happen if your colleagues started looking for you. he chuckled.

"In that case, I'll hold a funeral they can attend. So they'll think you're gone forever."

he gently grabbed your hand.

"Let's go back. Or else you'll catch a cold."

you stayed still, not letting him pull you away. he shot you a glare, before he smiled and caressed your face.

"You can't convince yourself to hate me with every fiber of your being. Wouldn't you agree?"

he pulled you close, leaning your head onto his chest.

"I'll eventually find a way to make things right, as long as you're by my side."

you were getting really annoyed with him, and you told him to cut it out. he suddenly started to collapse in your arms, being brought to his knees. you quickly apologized, and he looked up at you with a dazed expression.

"I feel like I don't know how to take care of you anymore."

his eyes started to close, and he collapsed onto the ground.

"Let's...go home..."

you stared at him as you slowly started to pass out. you woke up in a bed. he was leaving, and you had to stay there. you got mad, and pushed him away. you said you didn't need him.

"You don't need me? Is that what you think? All right, what do you need? No one will be able to find you again. I'll protect you forever. I'll give you anything you want."

He grabbed your wrist, pushed you back against the couch, hovering above you.
