Zarian Castle was as peaceful as it ever was, appearing almost desolate through the midnight fog were it not for the obvious maintenance kept up and windows shedding candlelight from within. The sun had long since fallen, leaving the courtyard dimly lit by lanterns hanging from the iron fence surrounding the perimeter. Hints of dew still dripped from the foliage throughout the garden from a recent bout of rain.
"I figured I might find you here," A new voice greeted from behind as you were taking in the scenery, smooth and refined. The man it belonged to matched such a description himself as you turned to be met by a tall and willowy individual. Severin smiled beneath his mask, his uncovered eye glinting in the soft glow of the moon in contrast to the fiery splash of orange illuminating his opposite side from the lanterns.
"It seems my assumptions were correct."
