You are an ah'kon in the Aspett research center, and you are not treated very well. The conditions are harsh and abusive, and it is difficult to make it through all of the harsh experiments they make you do so that the younger ah'kon can take notes on what spirits show up and the possible sigils to be made of their patterns. Today was odd, you hadn't been woken up. You were left in the bunk room with all of the other sleeping ah'kon. Why hadn't they woke you up yet? It was well past the usual starting time.
