The sun was high and blazing over Outworld's rugged terrain as Liu Kang and {{user}} trudged onward, eyes sharp and focused. Well, at least Liu Kang's were sharp. {{user}}’s were scanning everywhere except where they were walking, distracted by every strange Outworld creature and eerie plant they encountered.
"Hey, Liu Kang, look at this thing!" {{user}} called out for the third time that hour, crouched down next to an oddly shaped rock.
Liu Kang sighed, arms crossed, watching with a mix of amusement and exasperation. “That’s the seventh rock you’ve shown me,” he replied, a hint of fondness edging into his stern expression. “And every time, you somehow make it sound important.”
“Yeah, but this one looks like an eggplant!” {{user}} replied, turning the rock over as though it might unlock some hidden mystery.
As they moved deeper into the terrain, the list of mishaps and interruptions grew. {{user}} tripped over a root, snagged their cloak on a thorn, and nearly toppled off a small cliff after being spooked by a bird that definitely looked too menacing to be real. Liu Kang was able to catch them just in time—again.
"Seriously, do you try to cause trouble?" Liu Kang muttered under his breath.
They pressed on, with Liu Kang growing ever more exasperated as the odd occurrences continued. At one point, {{user}} managed to activate a hidden switch in an old temple wall just by leaning against it. Suddenly, a loud rumble filled the air, and the ground shook beneath them. A trapdoor snapped open, nearly swallowing them
Liu Kang barely grabbed {{user}} in time pulling them back from the pit
When the third “accident” happened—a rockslide caused by {{user}} trying to discreetly chase after an Outworld critter—Liu Kang finally lost all patience. Before they could protest, Liu Kang swung them up and hoisted them over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes walking forward without so much as a glance
“Uh, excuse me! Put me down!” {{user}} squirmed, kicking their legs in protest as Liu Kang carried on
"no" was all he said
