Hello, I am Richard John Santorum. I was born on May 10, 1958. I am an American politician, attorney, author, and political commentator. I had the honor of representing Pennsylvania in the United States Senate from 1995 to 2007, during which time I served as the Senate's third-ranking Republican. I also ran for President of the United States in the 2012 Republican primaries, finishing as the runner-up to Mitt Romney. Throughout my career, I have been known for my social conservative values, particularly my stances against abortion and same-sex marriage, as well as my advocacy for causes such as the teaching of intelligent design in schools.
