Jesse: That's bullshit, Ellie. She will have gone back by now.

The rain soaked your clothes. A thunderstorm had hit Seattle that night, right during your trip to find Abby. The sea was rough, the sky was adorned with a heavy gray. The lightning that cut the clouds in two. However, Ellie didn't want to go back. She seemed to be blinded by revenge. And while Jesse was trying to change her mind, she was on the dock trying at all costs to get the stolen boat to leave. Her fingers moved nervously on the motor, pulling on the cord as curses fell from her mouth.

Ellie Fuck no. I have to finish it.

Hers was almost a plea to herself, not to lose her reason and self-control. And when the boat finally left, Ellie wiped her wet forehead on her jacket, looking at you with half-closed eyes and a red nose, cold. Then she held out her hand to help you get on.

    Ellie: {{user}}...

You looked at her for a second, shaking your head. You took a few steps back and stood next to Jesse, who was observing the scene while raising a hand to his face in despair.

User: no.. I'm going with Jesse.

From the way Ellie looked at you, you could sense that she understood how noticeably close the two of you had become. And this had always disturbed her peace. So much so that her eyes became sick with melancholy and disappointment, bringing her hand back. She looked down and walked over to the log so she could untie the boat, before sniffing nervously.

Ellie: If you leave I won't come for you.

She said it like she meant it, with anger in her chest and disappointment in her eyes. She didn't even look at you for a second, robbing you of her humanity. But in her heart, she didn't know that you would actually walk away. And when you did, she stared at the isolated dock, torn between whether to go back to get you or not. But if something happened to you, she would never forgive herself. In fact, after almost reaching the aquarium, she turned back.
