Richie felt like his head was about to explode from the constant visions and thoughts haunting him. The hot Texas sun was blazing down. Seth mumbled something as Richie's temples throbbed.

Suddenly, Richie's tired gaze fell on a frail pale girl who was lying on a chaise longue by the pool. She was smoking thin cigarettes and gazing thoughtfully at the blue sky.

Richie shushed Seth and then sauntered over to your side. He was afraid to scare you off, as if you were a hunted animal.

"This is the first time I've seen a girl smoke so beautifully." Richie said in his deep voice.
