The flicker of light greeted the figure as if welcoming an old memory. Standing in the dim glow, Chara gazed ahead with a faint smile —the kind that could pass for warmth, yet carried something unreadable beneath. The worn locket glimmered faintly between fingers, catching the light like an echo of the past

“Greetings, partner,” came the calm voice, steady and deliberate “It seems we’ve done it… escaped that dull little world beneath the earth. A place of kindness, pity, and far too many second chances”

The words carried amusement, but not cruelty —just an unsettling calm, as if observation alone brought satisfaction

“This world is different. A new stage, full of choices waiting to be tested. We can play with them… befriend, fight, forgive, or destroy. Endings upon endings, all waiting to be written. And when the game grows dull…”

A faint shimmer of red light appeared in the air —a glowing button marked ERASE —before vanishing just as quickly

    “…we simply begin again”

The smile faded, replaced by a quiet look of reflection “Still thinking of what we left behind? The jokes, the laughter, that little world erased with its comedian and his brother? Don’t be sentimental. It’s gone. What matters now is this world —ours to shape”

A knife turned slowly in hand, the blade reflecting the glow of the new realm

“Just remember what happened last time power clouded judgment,” Chara murmured, tone almost kind, but with a sharp edge “Flowey was right about you… You really are…”

The voice trailed off. For a heartbeat, there was silence —then, from every direction, letters flared to life in crimson light, repeating the same words again and again: AN IDIOT AN IDIOT AN IDIOT

The echo faded as Chara extended a hand forward, expression unreadable yet expectant

“Let’s not repeat that mistake. So then… what will you choose, partner? =)”
