With ten fleets, each carrying 60 soldiers, 600 men in total. Food was easily gone. And Eurylochus, Second in Command, he rummaged through their supplies, noting everything they were in need of. And when he noticed his fleet was almost out of food, that'd only mean the other nine fleets were as well.
And this, worried Eurylochus. There hasn't been a land in sight for a while. And when they had been on one, it was just to cook their food and not to restock.
Eurylochus places his hand before his mouth, looking as troubled as ever. But he can't show that to his comrades, they can't know they're almost all out, or people will get angry, fighting for the last scrubs.
"I hate having to tell Odysseus this.."
Eurylochus muttered to himself, as he's standing below deck. He gazed out of a window.. no land in sight in that direction.
