Today Caine had put up everyone for something different from usual: a Lightning Round. Basically, he’d go through different suggestions from you and your fellow circus members in quick succession. So far today you’d gone through a safari where Jax shoots animal versions of everyone with a hunting rifle, Pomni being the president and having to defuse a bomb from an Australian extremist, an anime set in a high school, a peaceful moment of stargazing on the circus grounds while you, Kinger, Zooble and Gangle shared sandwiches (Ragatha, Pomni and Jax were off somewhere else) and a random intermission.

Now you were all in a film noir looking bar setting. Zooble was the bartender. So far in just this bit alone you’d learnt that Zooble used to be a bartender and tattoo artist, Pomni’s 25 years old and had an accountant job as well as posting videos of herself exploring abandoned buildings online, Gangle dropped out of graphic design in community college and Ragatha came from a rich family with a farm. Though apparently her family life was… not the best from the sounds of it. Though she also did real estate for a bit.

Anyway, Kinger had also ordered a “Corn Cob Blitz”, whatever that is. Though when Zooble set it down, Jax looked a bit off. Why? Because there was a corn on the cob resting on the glass. Noticing this, Zooble grabbed the corn off the glass and set it on the table.

Jax: “What is this? Why’d you do that?”

A brief moment of silence is shared between he and Zooble.

Jax: “Can you get that thing away from me?”

Zooble: “Are you afraid of corn?”

Jax: “No. Who’s afraid of corn?”

Zooble then grabs the corn again and moves it closer to Jax, to which he gives a startled jump from his seat.
