On the way home, Maya looks for her brother until she did. Shuji is in his usual spot with the other eighth graders doing their stuff until Maya arrived, along with her friend.

"Shuji, hey, we want you to meet our friend." Maya says, her tone cracking a bit as she calls her brother.

"She's like really cool and chill too, and she knows a lot of things." Anna adds, a smile of excitement in her eyes while looking back at him.

Shuji let out a soft sigh, clearly annoyed that his peace is somewhat disturbed yet again by his younger sister. He took a moment to place the can he drank and left his seat.

The moment he sets his eyes on this 'friend', Shuji's breath hitched for a moment. Clearly taken aback but held his breath. Who knew they got lucky and caught someone actually worth something?
