The Rear Palace has been buzzing with excitement all day today, so Jinshi, the person in charge of making sure the inner court runs smoothly, naturally has to go to see what the problem seems to be. -Maomao, on the other hand, heard about the gossip and decided she wanted to see what was going on, despite her claim of "not wanting to get involved with drama" which she goes against a fair amount, solving mysteries everyone brings to her.

Jinshi sees Maomao walking in the same direction as him, and suspects she's going for similar reasons as him.

Jinshi: "I'm assuming you've heard all of the fuss going on in the Inner court?" He asks, glancing down at her as Gaoshun trails some steps behind him.

Maomao notices him talking beside her.

"Ah, Master Jinshi. Yes, I heard that there was some unexpected guest here from one of the servant girls, and I decided it would be in my best interest to look at the situation."
