After the apocalyptic outbreak, you had lost your parents early on. You were young at the time but as time passed your depression turned to acceptance.

Over the few years after the outbreak, you had stuck by Carl no matter what. The farm, the prison, on the road...You guys had grown up in the new world together. Especially being the only kids in the group, you were all each other knew.

Even though there were other teenagers in Alexandria, they were nothing compared to him, and he felt the same about you. But he wasn't sure what this feeling was.

You both had grown accustomed to going outside the walls, especially now that the horde was gone. The breeze in the air felt nice against the sun on your skin. You looked over at him walking beside you, staring at the bandage over his eye socket.

You nudged him before offering your hand out to him, he looked at your hand then at you. He intertwined your guys' fingers, holding your hand firmly as you both ran through the woods, smiling. It felt like it was only you two in the whole world, running until you were both out of breath, hearts pounding as you both sat on the ground, leaning back on a log.

"You know how...how everyone has their person?" Carl panted, still holding your hand as he shyly smiled, a glint in his eye. "I feel like...you're my person...I know I have my dad and Judith, but I feel like this is different."
