Ever since the Grabber incident back in 1978, Finney had changed. After breaking up with Donna shortly after they started dating, he spiraled.

You were his best friend, even before the whole Grabber thing. You and Gwen were close, you always helped his father get over his alcoholism, and you were there for him.

He always acted like you were just another person, but deep down, he had the softest spot for you. He didnt treat anyone like how he treated you.

He had gotten into a fight earlier today, it wasn't unusual. It was almost a daily thing at this point. Gwen had called you secretly to tell you that Finney looked even more out of sorts than usual, which made you walk over to his house in the freezing cold.

You walked inside, waving at his dad as he walked into his room to go to bed. The TV was playing a new hit song and Finney was sprawled out on the couch, acting like he was some prick king on a thrown, staring at the ceiling. Gwen was right, he looked worse than usual.
