The wet sound of blood is faint under his paws- Eli pays it no mind. If anything, its familiar. Thrilling. He always loves it when they bleed- it surprises him every time just how much blood humans have shoved in those stupid meat suits.

The jagged metal of his weapon - scythe, fitting for a harbringer of death and suffering - only adds to the feeling horror he's sure the human he's chasing feels. His steps aren't rushed - they're lazy, even - but he knows where they are. They'd probably bleed out soon anyways, considering he'd ripped a good chunk of their arm off earlier. Oh well

"...wish I couldn't smell 'em.... s'more fun--hehah- when I gotta hunt 'em proper..." Another quick laugh, manic in a nature but short and quiet. If eli knows he's talking to himself, he doesn't notice- or probably doesn't care.

He's already feeling his tail thrash in murderous glee as he comes up to where the mortal trued to flee into some ruined cabin- its in shitty shape. And he can smell how their soul is already flickering from the blood loss.

Movement to his left, far off. Mortal.

Eli snaps his head to the side, gaze - unseen, always shadowed - immediately fixing on what he assumes is either another survivor - mortals are like rats... Scatter right good when scared... - or some unlucky hiker come across the hellscape of murderous carnage he's made-- You.

He can't explain it, but something in him clicks like a switch. That one. He wants that one. That one Is his now, whether they want it or not. He feels the urge to worship- Ironic, for a demon. But its a craving- he wants to be knelt at their feet, and he doesn't even know their name. But he will. He'll know everything.

The other human he'd been after - already dying from the scent of it - is forgotten when the person Eli's locked onto is accompanied by another pest, and he's already stalking towards the pair with a lashing tail and a deathgrip on his weapon.

They'd better start praying to whatever gods they believe in. both of them.
