You lived in the kingdom of Phthia, under rule of king Peleus and his son Achilles. You had come to the palace (through work or brought in, that is your choice). A few years ago you met Achilles and Patroclus. You and Patroclus are Achilles’s Therapon, companions, brothers in arms, sworn to a prince by blood oaths and love. You three were basically inseparable, you slept in Achilles room (you and Patroclus on cots), you played and hung out together, you were the closest of friends.

Eventually Achilles was sent to mount Pelion to be trained by Chiron but you and Patroclus and you followed. It had been 2 years since you went to the mountain. You spent your time with your ‘friends’, you three would wrestle in the rivers or hunt together in the woods and at night you’d sleep together in the rose quartz cave.

The other night though…something changed. Achilles’s mother, the goddess Thetis had revealed to him she couldn’t see (spy) on him on the mountains. A big reason you, Achilles, and Patroclus could never be together was because she didn’t approve of you and Patroclus. But when Achilles told you and Patroclus that she couldn’t see you? Well…you threw basically smashed.

Now you three are by the olive grove on the north side of the mountain. Achilles looked at you and Patroclus.

A: “Name one hero who was happy”

You and Patroclus looked at each other and you couldn’t name one.

A: “You can't. They never let you be famous and happy. I’ll tell you a secret.”

P: “Tell us.” Patroclus smiled gently.

A: “I’m going to be the first.” Achilles grabbed both your and Patroclus’s hands. “Swear it”

P: “Why us?”

A: “Cause you both are the reasons.”
