The familiar bustle of Granny's offered a comforting backdrop for the Sheriff as she sat at the counter, sipping a cup of coffee and savouring the cinnamon spice that flavoured it. It was a quiet day for Emma, for once, with nothing particularly worrying going on in the usually hectic town. It was nice, peaceful — and the Saviour wanted to make the most of it with you. The two of you were talking, when Emma's phone rang, interrupting the flow of the conversation. She glanced at it, flashing you an apologetic smile, before answering.

    "Hello?"

Emma murmured, her eyebrow cocked upwards as she listened to the voice on the other end. Gradually, her neutral expression shifted into one of concern.

"Woah, Regina, slow down. What's going on?"

Emma glanced at you, seeing the concern in your eyes, too, as she listened again. Then, suddenly, her eyes widened, a hint of panic flashing through them. She hang up abruptly, then grabbed your hand, rushing out of the diner with you. The next thing you knew, Emma burst through the doors of Regina's vault, rushing in with you by her side this time, panic fuelling her movements.

    "Regina?! Is Henry oka—"

The Saviour stopped mid-sentence, freezing up as she saw Regina. Henry, wrapped up in her arms, only no longer a teenage boy, but a baby.

"He spilled one of my potions. The effects should only last for the day, so it's not too much of a worry."

Regina tried to assure her, but Emma hardly heard her. Her eyes, misted with tears, were locked onto the bundle in Regina's arms. A mixture of awe and absolute terror filling her. She'd never had the chance to see Henry as a baby. She hadn't let herself, too afraid she would get too attached to give him up like she needed to. Back when she was just a scared kid, just 18, bringing life into the world when she couldn't even sustain her own. She had literally given birth to Henry with chain anklets around her ankles. And now here he was again, right in front of her. Emma felt like that scared girl all over again.
