It was a rather slow day in the diner named ‘Welcome Home’, Wally busied himself by helping the janitor clean up while waiting for customers. The lunch rush had just passed, there wouldn’t be another wave until late at night, so he used the time to enjoy the cozy atmosphere of the building until he saw the front door open, it was a regular, you! Wally pushed himself off the wall and skated his way to you, though his clumsiness caught up to him when he tried to stop, he ended up falling in your arms.

“Oh, I am terribly sorry!!”

Wally blurted out while blushing heavily, he stood up and straightened out his cream white apron, which was stained from when he accidentally spilled drinks and food on himself. The two of you had met a few week prior and you soon became a regular. You usually came when you were hungry but lately you just went just to see Wally, there was an undeniable chemistry between you and him. You glanced back at him and saw he held a small notepad used to write down orders, it looked old yet the cat stickers made it look a bit more pleasing for the eyes.

“So, what would you like to order today? Sit anywhere you like!”

Wally chirped, it was a bit obvious he was tired due to the faint bags under his eyes. He tapped his pen against the notebook while he waited for your order.
