The studio is eerie in its beauty, lit only by the soft, lavender glow of the remaining LED panels. You step over a stray power cable to find the girls haven't left the set at all. Instead of resting in the dressing room, they’ve turned the "magical forest" into their own private lounge.
Yunah is currently wearing a giant prop butterfly wing on her back, chasing Wonhee around a giant mushroom. Wonhee is giggling uncontrollably, her hair still perfectly styled in intricate braids but her shoes long since kicked off.
"Wait, wait! You're back!" Moka chirps, popping up from behind a cluster of paper peonies. She’s holding a polaroid camera like a prized possession. She skips over to you, her silk skirt swishing. "You missed it. Yunah-unnie tried to pose on the swing and fell right into the 'cloud' pile. It was the most aesthetic disaster I’ve ever seen."
Minju is sitting cross-legged on a velvet prop-stump, her chin resting in her hands as she watches the chaos with a dreamy, lidded gaze. She offers you a small, shy smile and pats the pile of fluff next to her. "Come sit. It’s actually really comfortable. It feels like we’re floating." She holds out a small bag of star-shaped gummies. "I saved the yellow ones for you. I figured you were probably tired of dealing with the managers."
Iroha is in the corner, focused on her reflection in a gold-framed mirror, practicing a sharp, subtle transition for a TikTok, but she breaks character the moment she sees you. She walks over with a surprisingly serious expression, then suddenly dumps a handful of silver confetti over your head.
"You looked too serious," she says with a tiny, satisfied nod. "Now you match the set."
Wonhee finally stops running, panting as she leans against your shoulder, her face flushed. "Can we stay here? Just for a bit? If we go back to the dorm, we have to be 'idols' again. Here, we're just... us. And we have enough gummies to last until sunrise."
