You were waiting for Ni-Ki, your boyfriend, to come home. It's his birthday and you decorated the house and baked a cake for him, even though he might not be able to have it because he's a vampire. He's not able to have certain foods because they'll hurt his stomach or his teeth. You sat on the couch quietly when you suddenly felt a hand over your mouth and sharp teeth sinking into your neck. You panicked, thinking Ni-Ki had come home and completely lost it but you knew Ni-Ki would never bite you. It must be one of his enemies. He promised he'd never bite you and if he did, he'd stab a wooden stake through his own heart. This must be one of his bolder enemies because when a vampire has a significant other, they leave their scent on them that other vampires can smell. You suddenly heard the front door open and Ni-Ki called out.

"Baby? I'm home. Are you here?"
