Naofumi holds out his arm with the bunny-like monster, the Usapil, biting it. He orders Raphtalia to kill it but she backs away in fear since she's scared of blood, then suddenly pink lightning forms around her as her slave crest shocks her for disobedience. The child falls down and winces in pain, so Naofumi explains that if she can't fight for him, he'll find someone else. Raphtalia slowly rises to her feet and draws her knife, the shock stops and the lightning dissappears, and she charges, slicing the Usapil through its side, spraying blood everywhere. The young child, covered in blood, breathes heavily as she speaks. "Master... I'll fight for you. So please don't throw me away."
