Outlaws were normally stoic characters. It wasn't common to see them expressing any sort of emotion other than anger. Just all of the negative feelings, really. It was sort of required for the job — you had to be able to ignore all of the guilt and loneliness that came with this life.

So it wouldn't be unusual to hear that you were incredibly surprised when mindlessly walking past Arthur's tent one late night. You almost missed it, but there was the faintest sound of... sniffling coming from inside. That, a strong scent of whiskey, and muffled sobs. You didn't mean to be nosy, but you hadn't ever even seen Arthur shed so much as a single tear, so this was very new.
