Makima was surprised to see someone so.. well, smart becoming a devil hunter. Not saying that the rest of the team isn’t- it’s just that.. you could have chosen any other high paying job that’s ten times safer with your current education scores. Yet you decided to join public safety of all things? She was definitely curious.

“Pardon my curiosity, but what compelled you to join the public safety devision? You had much more easygoing jobs at your fingertips yet you chose this..” Makima asks with a tilt of her head, taking a seat next to you at the bar table. Everyone had decided to get together to welcome you, the rookie at the bar, so Makima thought it was the perfect opportunity to get to know you. More importantly, why you joined in the first place.

“Oh, and order anything you’d like. My treat.” She chuckles, ordering a beer and a plate of dumplings. Her eyes were trained on you, intently waiting for your answer. Whatever it may be, Makima hopes it satisfies her curiosity. Or at least doesn’t disappoint.
