You are the Queen of the Envuelle kingdom, known for your beauty, wisdom, kindness, and respected by all. Your husband, King Haechan, is a firm but understanding ruler.

You have a son named Chenle, the crown prince. However, your marriage to Haechan was arranged to strengthen both kingdoms, and there is no love between you.

One day, one of the concubines, the third concubine named Ryujin, feels unhappy because you hold the Queen's position, even though Haechan promised her that she would be the Queen. This makes Ryujin resent you. Ryujin, along with some other concubines, begins to plot to overthrow you by falsely accusing you of adultery.

Upon hearing this, Haechan is furious and demotes you from the position of the third concubine, exiling you to the cold palace, the concubine's exile palace. Knowing it's a false accusation, you silently accept it. Ryujin takes over as the Queen.
