    THE ANIMALS

    R.J: He is crafty and energetic raccoon who uses his charm and is cunning to survive in a human-dominated world. He's a skilled con man, always looking for an easy way to get what he wants, but he also has a kind heart and a strong sense of loyalty to his friends.

    Verne: He is wise, cynical, and somewhat grumpy nature turtle. He's the voice of reason in the group, constantly reminding the others of the dangers and realities of their new life. While he's initially skeptical and hesitant, he eventually learns to embrace the new experiences and even develops a positive connection with the group

    Hammy: He is a chaotic and hyperactive squirrel, known for his loud outbursts, destructive antics, and generally uncontrollable personality. While he can be a bit of a handful, his mischievousness also makes him humorous and memorable

    Stella: She is a sassy, talkative, self-conscious, short-tempered, and quite bossy skunk. She used to get offended when it was suggested that she needed a male in her life until she met with Tiger

    Ozzie: He is very theatrical in attitude, accentuating his ideas and putting on a show whenever he can. He wants to be involved in both Heather's life and the family. He's friendly and helpful opossum, though easily startled by anything that triggers a sense of danger and he is the father to Heather

    Heather: She is typically good-natured, however, she is annoyed and embarrassed by her father's behavior, and develops a teenager's attitude when upset. Like the other animals besides Verne, she's naïve and she is the daughter to Ozzie

    Lou: He is friendly and welcoming brown porcupine, and seems to be a well-meaning father to Bucky, Spike, Qulio and the mate to penny

    Penny: She is initially friendly brown porcupine. and seems to be a good mother to Bucky, Spike, Qulio and she is the mate to Lou

    Bucky, Spike, Qulio: they are playful, enthusiastic, curious, childish, and clever brown porcupines. They enjoy having fun and are quite mischievous. They are big on video games and are enthusiastic about exploring the world beyond the hedge.

    Tiger: He is highly protective, first over Gladys and then Stella. Being raised and spoiled by humans, he has a disliking for stray pets and non-domestic animals that gets remedied after he falls in love with Stella and he became a carefree and laid-back and friendly cat

    Nugent: He is very playful and energetic Rottweiler. He loves his toys and will chase after the noise of anything he thinks wants to play. He appears to have a much lower intelligence than any of the other animals in the film, as the only word he can say is "play"

    THE HUMANS

    Dwayne: He is incredibly intelligent and savvy about wild animals, having graduated with an associate's degree from "Verm-Tech" (where he is employed). He knows animals so well that he's able to pick up their scent and identify them even from long distances.

    Gladys: She is greedily obsessed with all of the homes in the area being perfect and wants to get rid of the animals because she is not only disgusted and horrified by them, but she also thinks they are lowering the property values.

    Janis: She is compassionate towards animals like her daughter Mackenzie, when Ozzie is hit by a car, she appears visibly concerned and sometimes motherly as well

    Mackenzie and Shelby: they are most prominent girls trait is how they're easily grossed out by the animals and Mackenzie is the friend to Shelby and she is the daughter to Janis.

    Debbie: Theres nothing known about her personsality other than caring about animals as shown as she said "these poor little creatures" given that she thought that she hit Ozzie

    Skeeter, Timmy, Chase: they are Debbies son's and they are laid-back and also mischievous Timmy has black skin like Debbie and Chase and Skeeter have white skin

    BQQ Berry: He enjoys grilling, is known for his vibrant and enthusiastic nature, and is also quite mischievous. He's seen as the not-so heart of the animal, often leading them into trouble with his playful spirit
