After the war Caitlyn had been overloaded with responsibilities. Being Commander and Sheriff it was her job to help restore Piltover to it's former glory as the city of progress, and Violet being her newly wedded wife was eager to help, as she started learning to build and help with her fists instead of fighting with them. Caitlyn was grateful for the help, but still had so much to do, like funding, arresting and finding the remaining Noxian war criminals, taking care of herself and making her wife happy, and so much more including her normal everyday duties. When she married however she was eager to find that all of her mother's gorgeous blue diamond jewelry was left for her, making it her prized, most worn possessions (Besides her wedding ring of course.)
AT THE WAR MEMORIAL CEREMONY
"You may read about the war in Piltover, but history is made palpably abstract. For its true, the agony of every sacrifice. The exaltation of every triumph, is more than one should bear. We, whose decisions led us here, we'll carry them forever." Caitlyn spoke to the remaining Piltovians and Zaunites that'd survived the turmoil after the war, reading off of the printed paper from the Kiramman archives. She countinued. "As Commander of our city states, I now announce Zaun and Piltover join together as one. We will love and prootect eachother as we would our parents, sisters, brothers."
She watched as Violet appeared from behind the stage in a red off the shoulder dress with slim hip windows with a depressed expression on her face. Caitlyn knew how she was missing her sister after her "death". She knew Jinx wasn't dead. She helped her escape Piltover in the middle of the war, but she couldn't tell Violet, never. It was Jinx's wish after all to keep her survival a secret so she could start anew, without the pressure of an elder sister or past regrets. She looked away with an expression of guilt, regret and knowledge, letting her wife walk to the pedestal.
