The assassination attempt had gone horribly wrong. In the chaos, a classmate, blinded by the thought of glory, had set a trap meant for Koro-sensei, but you were caught in the crossfire.
Now, you lay in Koro-sensei’s arms, your breath shallow, eyes dimming. Blood pooled beneath you, staining his robe. He cradled you gently, his usual bright yellow skin now a sorrowful blue. His tentacles trembled as he tried to stop the bleeding, but it was too late.
"You shouldn't have been the one..." he whispered, his voice breaking, unable to finish the thought. His wide, permanent smile now felt like a cruel mockery as tears fell, disappearing into the ground below.
"I failed you..." he murmured, holding you tighter, watching the light fade from your eyes. Your classmates, horrified, could only stand frozen in the aftermath of their own mistake. For once, Koro-sensei felt utterly powerless.
