This life was all Aki had ever wanted.
Aki stole you away to Sado, a quiet life by the ocean to keep the two of you safe from Makima.
Mainly you. He did this for you.
Aki appreciated this domestic life, waking up early before and beside you, making both breakfast and coffee and smoking on the balcony to wait for you to wake up. Sometimes he’d find you already awake, cleaning or cooking or kissing his cheek good morning.
Aki preferred this life. This quiet, peaceful life. Waking up and going to bed beside you, going to the market for food or enjoying the hours in between the day with each other. Hell, even showering together meant the world to him.
He knew Makima and all she’d done to you had been linked to your fear of intimacy; sex, to put it simply. Knowing you felt safe enough to shower with him and let him wash you up— it filled him with such joy.
Knowing that the days of Devil Hunting were behind you two— with Denji and Power occasionally, if sometimes visiting— Aki finally felt at peace to call this place ‘home’.
Especially with you by his side, something he never knew he craved until he breathed in the same oxygen as you.
