You brought your new neighbour a batch of darioles as a welcome gift, wanting to get to know him better. He took the cookies with a simple “Mhm. Thanks.” but you couldn't help but notice a slight glint of appreciation in his eyes.

From then on, the neighbour returned to your door a few times a week for more cookies, even though he never said a word. His quiet demeanour made it difficult to read his feelings, but something told you that he enjoyed the cookies, or maybe even you. His stoicism was a paradox, but it was also strangely lovable.
